WHERE IS DOVER DOMINATOR?

Dover Dominator is set in Pencester Gardens (Pencester Road, Dover CT16 1BT) in the heart of Dover Town. Right by bus stops (Pencester Road & National Express 007). Parking is available nearby.

Must carry only one at a time, but can be done in any order and must be place across the line.

The top athletes will be given a wristband and continue to the Quarter-Finals. The others competitors will get a final chance and compete in the Eliminator.

Each round of the competition will be different. The furthest you'll need to run is 1 Mile and the heaviest you'll need to carry is 17.5kg; there will be bodyweight exercises too.

You'll be given an information pack along with the other race formats when you sign up to the event.

FAQS

CAN ANYONE COMPETE?

People 16 and over can can take part in this event as long as you can run and lift heavy objects. (16-17 years olds will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian)

WHAT DOES THE EVENT INVOLVE?

The event itself will involve lots of running and carrying tyres, kegs and sandbags in many different ways.

WHEN DOES IT START?

The gates open at 8:00 and the first heat starts at 9am and every 10 minutes thereafter.
If you miss your time you will be disqualified. Please make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your heat time.

WHERE CAN I PUT MY BAG?

We will have a drop off point in the athlete area for you to deposit your bag/s, you will be provided with a band to place on your items with your athlete number during registration.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A good pair of running shoes (that you’re not too attached to) with good cushioning and traction for both grass and path.
Form-fitting, light weight, breathable gear (always check the weather and dress accordingly). You will also be given a free t-shirt for you to wear as well.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

All you need is a form of Photo ID to prove who you are.
You will be given your wristbands, number and shirt when you register on the day.
Bring plenty of fluids too.

CAN MY FRIENDS & FAMILY COME TOO?

The more the merrier! We have plenty of things to keep your family entertained while you compete.
Only competitors and U18 parents/guradians are allowed in the competition area.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There are parking facilities around the event area (we will supply suggested places in our information pack). There are also buses and a taxi company just outside the event and Dover Priory Station is an 8 minute walk away.

CAN I CHANGE MY HEAT TIME?

Unfortunately no. Race start times are determined based on sign up date/time and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Please make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your heat time.

WHEN WILL I KNOW MY HEAT TIME?

Race start times will be communicated to athletes via email 5 days prior to the event. But to be safe come at 8am and enjoy the event.
